Well, the wedding is definitely well under way now and mostly organsied. There's only the hard to find things and finer details left to go, so i feel like I spend all my time just sorting out the littlest things lately. Here is a sneak peak at some of the lovely things I've found so far. What i am still to find is a little cap for the ring bearer similar to the one above. If anyone knows where any are please let me know.

A bumper problem

Here are just some of the lovely nurseries and styling ideas i have seen around lately, so now I'm thinking of adding tangerine into the pink and grey as well, just to add in that bit of fun. But... nearly every cot set I see includes bumpers. It does seem to complete the whole look and really make the cot adorable, but it says everywhere that they are a SIDS risk. SO, it leaves me wondering how these companies are still making any money off them, or am i being over-safe and the only one who won't put them in my cot?

How gorgeous are these bedtime outfits from aden + annais. There are lots of lovely patterns to pick from and they are all made out of natural, breathable, muslin fabric so great for baby too. I can't wait to get the Issie security blanket with the satin edging. Ideal for baby to cuddle up to, and comes in a 2pk so that there is always one for snuggling while the other is in the wash. I just have to find out what I am having so I can choose which print to get. I do like the ones pictured though, so it will just have to be a girl!

After finally finishing our renovations, we are all ready for the final half of our little flat to be moved to QLD once baby arrives, which is any day now. What is it with pregnant women either renovating or moving? And as much as i am looking forward to meeting little one, over the last couple of weeks at home I've had time to realise how much I'm going to miss my comfy home, friends and family and the always interesting and Bondi.

I can't wait to decorate my nursery, and it's only 10 days to go until we meet out little one, so not far away now. I love the bird and owl themes as well as the drift wood in these mobiles and wall hangings. And the Yellow! What a bright and happy colour for a nursery. I think that's what we're going to go with. Naturals and a hint of yellow. It will suit the QLD sunny beach feel I guess. There are lots more colours and lovely things to pick from if you want to see more at birdy numnum's madeit store here .

I saw this beautiful coat rack when walking past Top 3 by design on the weekend and fell in love! It would be perfect for our new place and for some reason i just love it even more in yellow, that is... until i saw the price. Coming in at pretty much $1000, all i can feel is complete disappointment. I'm never going to pay that sort of money for something like this, when clearly it would cost them a fraction of the price to make it! I can't see the value anyway. But it is beautiful, isn't it?

Finally we have got the all clear on all our scans and I am now very excitied to let everyone know that we are having a baby! How cute is this pic of bubs sucking it's finger? Only 17 weeks to go until we can meet, and with Christmas and Birthdays' in between, it will be here before we know it! Arrrgghhh, little scary actually! If anyone has any great newborn tips or finds i'd love to hear about them.

Im a bit of a fan of Rob Ryans beautiful papercut artworks (like the rest of the world), but have recently stumbled upon the lovely work of elista, who's range of artwork includes these papercut prints inspired by some of the most well known nursery rhymes and kids stories, like little Peter Pan, Little Red Riding Hood and Mary had a Little Lamb. Now there's something for the kids rooms too.

sweet spring candle

I recently received this Leura Glasshouse candle as a gift, and can i just say it's amazing. Finally, I have a candle that actually smells when you burn it! It smells of the sweetest spring flowers: Jasmine, Lilac and Cherry Blossom and also is in an opaque white glass jar rather than the normal clear ones, so still looks great on the shelf even when it's not burning. At $35, I thought it was a little extravagant for a candle, but now that I have one it is definitely worth it. And it's huge, so will outlast any other non-smelly candles out there and is such a nice relaxing way to end the day.

These gorgeous, traditional style alphabet blocks from Uncle Goose would look great in any nursery, and come beautifully boxed, making them a great gift or keepsake. Our new home

Today, we are the very excited owners of this lovely house. We finally got approval from the bank after jumping through every hoop in the world, but we got there in the end. Yay us. It's 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, has a backyard, only 500m from the beach in Miami on the Gold Coast. And.... all for a price less then our little flat in bondi. Crazy isn't it.
Can't wait to move in in 4 weeks and add all the little touches to it, to make this place our home.

Bright elephants

I have been a fan of Heather Bailey's gorgeous fresh fabric designs for a while now. So many bright colours and patterns to choose from and inspire you for the warmer weather, that is surely about to hit any day now. There's lots of crafty type goodies on her blog , and you can also get the pattern for these cute elephants on there too. It'd be great to make a few of them and turn them into a mobile for a nursery. Not that i can sew much more than a straight line, but I'd like to give it a go. I would also love a summer dress in some of her fabrics as well.

bali countdown

I have always wanted to go to Bali, but for some strange reason we never have. A quick cheap flight, lazing in the sun with cocktails by a pool, bargain shopping, and massages. What more could you want? Now... I don't know what took us so long! All the resorts we found looked amazing, and after days of trying to pick just one place we decided on this one.

It's called Gending Kedis, and we loved that it is sort of out of the way, quiet and private. That private, that the pool there is all ours! Can you believe it? We are 700m to Jimbaran bay where there are loads of seafood restaurants on the beach to eat at and watch the sun go down. We are only staying for 3 blissful nights, but I actually think the highlight will be going to watch the sunset, and having a cocktail at the Ayana Rock Bar also in Jimbaran. Look at that view!

Now all we have to do is wait until November. There's nothing like an awaiting holiday to get you through the end of winter though, and the countdown is on.

I have to admit, that most of the time i normally skip through the garden section of the home mags i get, seeing as I'm in a unit, in the city, and normally kill every plant I come close to.
But that has all changed now. That was before we had bought a little home with a backyard up in sunny old Miami, on the Gold Coast. So now of course, I'm searching through all my mags again, and the net, trying and get some ideas of what we can do to brighten it up a bit. I found this gorgeous little summer retreat. I don't think it's Ben's style, but.... it's nice to look at.

It's one of my little nieces birthday's soon so I've decided to make some pretty wall decorations to go in her room, inspired from the images above but using fabrics to match her bedding and room. Next step is to track down some fabric that will suit. I'm off to IKEA on the weekend, so cross fingers i can find some fun and affordable prints there to start with.

I just saw these beautiful, one-of-a-kind hobby horses by Calamity Bolt and had to share. Hand-made out of vintage/reclaimed/salvaged fabric with love, I think that they would look great as a nursery decoration, hanging on the wall or standing in the corner. Plenty of other colours to pick from as well as some pretty hair bands in her madeit store.

I have had my eye on these two designers for a while now, but hadn't put them on as i'm not getting married... yet! But I've decided they are too cute to keep from you any longer. These are one of the little things that you would keep forever to remind you of your special day.

Ann Wood's handmade sweethearts are made from vintage material with amazing detail and names that just are just as stylish as the birds, like May & Franklin here.

These are from Together forever on etsy, and custom made right down to the hair and flower colours to match the bride and groom. Just too cute.

I know it's school holidays, but i'm thinking I might need a little holiday soon too. A few days lying in the sun somewhere relaxing, not too expensive and out of the way. If you haven't seen the gorgeous handmade, up-cycled lamps by Jo at The Owls are Hunting yet then you're in for a treat. Made right here in Australia, these vintage lamp bases are from the 60's, 70's and 80's are lovingly given a modern and fun twist, and best of all, each one is unique. I'm in-love with the lamps shown here, but there are plenty more in her made it store, and make sure you pop by the blog for a look too.

I know bus scrolls have been a bit of a thing for a while now, but i have just made this one for my brother who lives at Jervis Bay. We saw a similar version around but thought it needed just a little more love. Winterland

I'm not normally much of a winter fan, but... i did get a little bit excited when i found out that Sydney is going to have 2 ice skating venues this winter. One is indoors at CarriageWorks for their first ever Winterland festival (starting July). Entry to Winterland is free, but the skating will set you back $12.50 for 45min and including skate hire. Perfect. There is also going to be an open air rink for just one week also in July at our lovely Bondi Beach. I can't wait for this. What a great backdrop. It costs a little more to go here, but...there is even going to be a little ski hut, with cosy wood fires for an aprés skating sit down and hot chocolate.

I keep leaning towards a bit of a nautical thing with my colours at the moment and found this beautiful print from Letterpress Delicacies. It would go straight up in the beach house if I had one. And not that I'm really the sailing type but this pic of boating in St Tropez makes me want to be. (Of course i would need a whole new outfit to go with it though.) Winter wonders

Winter is definitely only 1 week away. It's cold, getting dark quite early here now and... its going to rain all week. Yuk! But on the bright side, when it's sunny I get some beautiful sunsets from the ferry on the way hm, and look forward to a cheeky glass of wine and getting toasty under my new cosy warm quilt. Ahhhh.
When I have a little one, they are so getting one of these super cute beanies from Oobi baby at baby's got style. The clouds are one of the new patterns I've decided to make. I have no idea what to do with it yet but something will come up. And if the thought of a morning coffee helps you get out of bed when it's cold, then it suddenly gets even more appealing with these adorable coffee cosies from wayside violet.

Happy Friday again. I'm off to the lovely Jervis Bay again this weekend and I can only hope it is as sunny as it was when I took this photo. We had a little kayak on this amazing day and the water was so clear we could see the ripples of sand on the bottom. Seeing as we now have a new baby in the family here's some handmade baby finds from madeit. It's a boy

What an exciting weekend. I'm now an Aunty again to my first nephew,
little Ashton. He got a special trip up to Sydney in a helicopter last
night after a bit of a traumatic start, but seems to be doing fine now.
So, that means I'm off to the hospital this evening for a a cuddle (hopefully)
and to say a big congratulations to the new Mum & Dad.

It is meant to be another gorgeous weekend of sunshine here, so I thought a bright and cheery yellow post was in order. I'm inlove with bold coloured doors, and this one is no exception. Both bright and functional, although they look to good to actually use, you can subscribe to this this quirky artwork from Felissimo, and each month over the course of 20 months, 25 colors arrive by mail from Japan - packaged in like tones and hues, so you'll always get mail and... get to watch your collection grow. I just had to do another Mothers day post when I saw this UK store, Papermash. They have a sweetest collection of stationary and bits to go with it on their site, but I particularly liked this lacey theme. Wouldn't it be nice to get a bunch of flowers like this with a special note, rather than wrapped in the normal cellophane. (Although, don't get me wrong... I'd take them too.) Then there's the sorbet! You can get the recipe to make one from Sweet Paul, too easy.

How nice would it be to cook mum a nice cosy mothers day lunch at a table like this. Or to send her a bunch with a personalised message that will last forever?

Not that it's summer any more, but... one of my favourite spots to spend a nice sunny day at is at here at Clovelly. It normally starts with a bit of breaky and a coffee in the café with a friend, then down to the beach for a swim. I love this photo. It was just a random shot but everyone in it is hugging. It was that type of day.
It goes perfectly with this bright pattern from Heather Bailey's Nicey Jane fabric range. There are some many bright summery prints in here it was hard to pick just one.

We just found this amazing place in Byron Bay for an upcoming weekend away called Altlantic. How cute is that caravan? It looks like what I would imagine to be the ultimate byron holiday, capturing the relaxing, coastal lifestyle Byron Bay is famous for. What a find. I am already counting down the days.

I have just ordered some of this gorgeous 'Birch Forrest' fabric from the lovely Lara at Ink & Spindle, and it's already on it's way. I can't wait for it to get here. Not only is it eco friendly but all their printing is done by hand without machinery. It will go perfectly with my wall hook and mobile to bring a little bit of nature into the home.

I've been meaning to make these love birds for a while now after seeing the tutorial for them on the molly chicken blog a few months ago. With Easter coming up, I thought they'd make great presents, as i could use the pocket to stuff some Easter Eggs in there. They turned out a little wonky (or quirky as i like to say), but seeing as this was my first time ever making something like this i think they look pretty cute!

Today, it's my dad's birthday so i just wanted to say a BIG Happy Birthday to the greatest dad of them all, and put up some super cool toys that even the dads out there will love. It's going to be a sunny weekend and how could you not be excited about Friday coming round when you're going to a place like this. It's the stunning Jervis Bay only 3 hours south of sydney. It has amazing white sands, blue water and if you're lucky... dolphins. So today i wanted to spread some sunshine around.

Meet Cluck Gable, Eggory Peck, Sophia Le Hen & The Carrot Crew. (Loving the names.) I just stumbled on these adorable make-them-yourself paper Easter projects from the people at mibo. They say each one only takes 5-10minutes to make, although I'm sure I could find hours of entertainment with these little ones and eat all the Easter eggs that were going to go with them in the process! yummm.
